So if you have been keeping eye on my Instagram... you may have noticed my new found addiction to bagels...
Why you ask?
Well because they are SOOO GOOD! Fluffy and moist centers with a thick but soft crust... AND OMFG SO MANY FLAVORS!
My favorite right now... LIMITED EDITION MAPLE FRENCH TOAST... yes that's right.. MAPLE. FRENCH.TOAST Bagel <3
Of course it limited edition... so I will be stocking up and eating as much as possible :D
Now... some may say "bagels are soooo bad for you...you're gunna get so fat"... UM NO!
Bagels are actually quite nutritious! If you go the whole grain route, you are getting 7g of your daily fiber! That's almost 30%! Bagels are actually high protein as well, around 10-12g per bagel making it a well rounded item with carbs and protein! Top with some nut butter or use as sandwich bread and you have the perfect meal with all 3 macros: carbs, protein, and fat. Now tell me what's bad about that? Yes, they are higher in carbs than regular sliced bread, BUT the body needs carbs! For me, bagels are a perfect for a quick on the go meal that gives me plenty of fuel for whatever is in my day--a workout or just going to class!
So don't be afraid of the bagels! A bagel with nut butter and a glass of milk may be the best breakfast you can have if you're in a hurry or if you love stopping at your favorite coffee shop ad eye them every time you get your large cup of joe... grab one and enjoy it! Nothing to be scared or afraid of! Bae-gels are life <3
