Recently, I did an interview for one of the local news channels in my hometown! Check out the video to see my ED journey and how I got to where I am today! It has been full up highs and lows, but everything I experienced has happened for a reason. I know that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers... I will overcome this and continue to thrive! http://www.wowt.com/news/itspersonal/headlines/Young-Woman-Opens-Up-About-Eating-Disorders-287591571.html The amount of support and outreach I have received since the story aired is incredible. Over 4,000 likes, almost 150 shares, and so many people who have added me or messaged me! They are reaching out in support, telling me about loved ones they know with an eating disorder, or just wanting more information about eating disorders! I cannot tell you how humbled I am for the love and support of my friends, family, the Omaha community, WOWT 6 News for airing my story, and anybody else who has reached out me. Each of you has touched me in some way and I hope I can keep inspiring with my story and continue fighting this!

Erin, I Just seen your story. Truly Amazing ! I will say , my heart sank with the knowledge that you had this struggle in your young life , I truly felt for you .....Then i come to realize after listening to your story , how proud I was of you and how you are overcoming this struggle, All my years of coaching hockey, I've Been apart of so many players lives and they all have a place in my heart, Including you, It makes me feel good to Know that your better.........I remember your hockey playing days well, The thing I most remember about you is your toughness , (mental and Physical).. And mostly how you cared about your team mates, You were always unselfish...When you got knocked down you got right back up. You worked hard and had a true passion for what you were doing, That's a Quality that has always been very unique in you ! .... I'm sure you remember me preaching all the time, pushing and pushing each of you to get better, It was never about wins and losses , It was always about how we react to whats put in front of us, What did we learn from our experiences to make us better in the future, We get knocked down we get back up and Thrive ! , And mostly Hard work, Determination and effort = Success ! . Remember that one huh? :)..... Erin Remember walk tall and with Confidence Kiddo ! Be Proud of who you are and what you have accomplished and will accomplish in your life,You will never fail ! ....I too have learned from you and all the other hockey players that have come in and out of my life....I'm Privileged and Honored to have been in a small part of your life.... Stay Strong and God Bless.... Your former Hockey coach and Friend, Mike Morton

Morty! Wow! Thank you so much for watching my story! I hope all is well in the hockey world! You are absolutely right: We learn fro the experiences we have, whether we got knocked down or pushed forward..there is always something to learn. It's not about how well it goes, but how we indeed react and choose to use our experiences. If hockey taught me anything, it was that: 1) I am unique and different.. AND THAT"S OKAY 2) Confidence, Determination, and Effort=Success... I hope to make everyone proud with how I use this struggle in my life to grow! Thank you for your kind words and reminding me of this! I am the one who is honored.. honored that I had the chance to learn from you and have the ability to play hockey from a great man, friend, and coach.
